Sectarianism
Looking to join a southside club and considering eastwood - however, concerned at last years 'Sash-gate' scandal appearing in local press - what was the clubs official line on this - any public apologies forthcoming? |

I've only been a member for 7 months but haven't seen or heard any problems about sectarianism. In fact have noted both Rangers/Celtic games being watched in clubhouse by both sides without any problems. Think the 'Sash-gate' thing was blown out of proportion and members were very embarrassed about it. I also spoke to several Celtic fans and they said majority of blame lies with bagpiper player and not membership. Very friendly and welcoming club, great course and new, enthusiastic professional. I would recommend joining this club very highly, hope this helps. |
