Hey. Super good job at the last camp. I was pleasantly suprised about the talent that showed up as well as the progress the algonac kids have made.
Even though it may seem like not alot of people were at the first camp it is very competitive for spots right now. Make sure you have the warm up book memorized and playble with the feet!
This will be a huge factor in getting a spot. Also there is alot more people showing up to the next audition, if you think you are on the bubble of earning a spot work hard. I suggest you also work on a back up plan.
Practice tips: 1. with a metronome
2. play things slow then speed them up, quality over speed.
3. mark time, mark time, mark time
4. play on the drums. this is key... we are a drumline not a pad line. playing on a practice pad will give you pad hands.
5. practice in front of a mirror
6. try recording yourself to hear how you really sound.
7. relax
