Move announced for Bellingham

From the Leamington FC website:

"I am delighted to announce that we have agreed terms with 2 more players and would like to welcome Jai Stanley who comes to us from Atherstone & Mark Bellingham, whom I am sure you know all about."

Good luck to Mark at the NWG.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

First of all i have no gripe to bear with mark and wish him and his family good heath and ATB for future.

this is based on thought that mark lives in halesowen?

Just looking at set ups and interesting to note,
according to halesowen forum next season away games in premier totals 1,894 miles.

Roughly I recon midlands will be 1,350 miles. take on average 25 extra miles each way to leamington for home and away games I think mark will be doing about an extra 400/500 miles, not counting training etc?
than if he had stayed with stourbridge!!!

Im sure one of you buffs could work out more accurately but dont think I'm far away.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

I understand he has moved police stations to Solihull; so I'm assuming Leamington would be ideal to travel to Solihull following a night game etc.

And don't forget they'll be paying him a lot more as well considering the cash they've got.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

Accept the obvious of more money, but his reasons were better balance of work and family life??
can't see spending loads more time travelling can give him that?
Anyway what will be will be.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

Mark has also commented on the committment needed for the SLP too. You have to consider the likelihood that the fitness level will be higher, and the games more physically demanding than the SLM which is perhaps the main reason Mark has chosen to leave, as he cannot necessarily put the extra time in for training which he would need to for the higher level.

Any suggestion he has left for money is frankly c*ap, do you honestly believe other clubs haven't sniffed around him the past few years who would have offered more money than Stourbridge!

Mark owes us nothing, and to be honest, anyone who questions his motives, especially to suggest he is financially motivated is showing a great deal of disrespect to him.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

With regard to disrespect, I'm sure he can speak for himself and dos'nt need a mouth piece!Don't try and turn things into something they are not!
The thread was based on what Mark said, nothing else,he may well have a number of reasons unknown to me, thats his choice, but I based my thoughts on facts not fiction.

Re: Move announced for Bellingham

Richard, I am no-ones mouthpiece thank you very much. Mark ultimately cited "added committment" as the main reason for leaving, no mention of travelling distances which you have highlighted, therefore, I fail to see how your comments are based on the facts upon which you claim!

May I suggest any reply is transferred onto the new forum from here.
