Goodbye and good luck.
After four fantastic seasons with the club I sadly have to say goodbye as the club moves forward into the Premier division. Ultimately, due to the added committment the club would require and deserve following promotion, I feel I would be unable to meet those standards I believe would be required. Gary has done a sterling job to convince me otherwise and I am extremely grateful for the understanding and flexibility he has shown me for the past four years but with my committments, I do not believe that I could make that transition without sacrificing the balance with family and work life. I would like to say that it has been an honour to play for the club. The banter with the supporters have made each match day a pleasure. The tireless work from those behind the scenes has been nothing less than inspiring. My team mates have worked so hard it has been embarassing to take the plaudits when I have only scored the goals because of their hard work, creativity and strength of character. The management team have shown me a great deal of trust, belief and flexibility that I doubt I would have been afforded elsewhere. Most of all, a massive thanks to Gary Hackett who has never wavered from being a gentleman even in circumstances when most of us would have been hard pushed. I wish the club every success for next season and the future beyond. I sincerely hope our pathes will cross again. Forever a Glassboy, Bello |

Mark I am really dissapointed that you have made this decision. However, looking at your reasons why, I can understand and I respect your choice. Thanks for the post and I hope you make a full recovery from your injury and go and score lots more goals in your career. (as long as its not for leamington!!) |

Bello,just to say amassive thank you for your immense contribution over the 4 years.due to your dedication and enormous enthusiasm,you have scored an avalanche of goals,but more importantly you have played a massive part in the teams success!Without doubt you deserve to be a stourbridge legend,and remember bello,"THAT DOOR IS NEVER CLOSED!!! Bello, You have been a tremendous player for us over the last 4 years and a pivotal member of a fantastic success story after the dark days of 1999-2000. May I be one of many, to truly thank you for everything you have done for the club, and the significant role you have played, not only in the past 4 years, but also in the history of the club. You are a player who will no doubt still be talked about in many years to come, a true Stour legend, and someone for whom the plaudits are thoroughly deserved, even if Dave the Glassboy din't think you passed enough Thanks also, for taking the time to come on here and acknowledge the club and it's supporters (even the stark raving mental one's who you may be arresting in the future)  The very best of luck for the future, we all hope you can make a full recovery, and congratulations to the the club that acquires your signature. Mark, So gutted that you feel unable to stay on , but fully appreciate and respect your decision. Thank you for all the great goals and memories, you are a Stour legend and gentleman as well. It has been brilliant to stand behind the end we are attacking and watch the goals go in, I reckon your assist rate was pretty high too. All the best to you and your family for the future. Well, very much the end of an era. Just a shame that your injury prevented you from being a part of the climax of the season. No chance of you turning out in one of the friendlies so we can give you a proper send off I suppose?
